I Meditate

Meditation is accepting.

I used to think i could only meditate with eyes close, sitting in a posture.

But i am learning other ways to meditate.

Focusing on breathing every once in a while is meditation.

Taking a walk in nature is also a meditation.

Writing with pen and paper is always meditation.

Washing up dishes or cutting vegetables is meditation.

Volunteering to help is meditation.

So also is listening to music — meditation.

Not being in the mind is meditation,

and being in the heart — joyful, expanding — is meditation.

I am learning that i don’t need to sit in a posture.
If i get the time though, sitting quietly is meditation too..

Focusing on breathing, heartbeat, etc., is really useful I've found.
Nature -- always, as is putting thoughts to paper -- that's one of the best.
Watching the rain never fails either.

Doing any gentle, quiet activity at a measured pace is greatly effective.
