There's no easy answer. There are a variety of complex reasons both genders cheat.

But my generalized answer would be, obviously, unhappiness in their relationship.

I think similar to guys a common reason is injecting a bit of fun and intrigue into an otherwise boring life, with a dose of ego boost from being found desirable

both genders do it but i think for way different reasons. for woman i think its typically way more for emotional reasons and much less physical ones.

women are biologically hardwired to find the best male they can.

It seems to me, theres a time in a relationship, when a partner will consider straying. The outcome is based on: will power over sexual chemistry, or vice versa.
And, either gender will cheat.
