If you feel uncomfortable with your therapist, how can you tell if its good discomfort or bad discomfort.

Good discomfort would be where she questions your long-held dysfunctional beliefs and tries to get you to see things from other angles.

Bad discomfort would be that the two of you are just not compatible.

If you're uncomfortable with your therapist how do you decide if its good discomfort or bad discomfort?

If you are actually dreading seeing the therapist or if you find yourself holding back on some things because you know what they will say and it is not helpful...that is how you know if it is good or bad unease.

Good unease won't prevent you from sharing despite knowing the general idea of what they might offer in response..
@JaggedLittlePill Good. Thanks.
