It would make more sense to rent free without giving up ownership like setting up welfare apartments that could be financed from renting out the comercial space at the ground level.

Depends on if the stranger would be able to take care of the house after I purchase it. If they can’t afford bills and yearly property taxes then I’ll basically be taking care of them forever.

I’d have to be very financially well off, if I had the means to buy several houses I’d buy one for myself in my city, make sure my parents are completely secure and buy a house for my best friends first.
