I once saw one of those house shows where they were selling summer homes

They had a guy who claimed to be a math teacher yet he said he was willing to spend 300 grand on a summer place 🤨 I’m no expert on how much teachers make but that seems like a lot for one.
It depends on where they are a teacher also 300k isn't that much as far as houses go from what ive seen also he might have other means of income or whatever or thats just how much he can extend his credit for a mortgage. And not how much money he has on hand

Depends on where he teaches, how long he’s been teaching, if he has a family to support, if he comes from a rich family, and chances are he’ll be taking out a mortgage and doesn’t have 300 grand sitting in a suitcase.
That’s about the average house price in the UK. Normal here. Note that many many people do not own homes for this reason but 300,000 for a summer home or second home is different.

time-shares … many claim them as bad investment choices … might google it to satisfy your curiosity.

Those shows are mostly fabricated anyways, fake buyers

$300,000 in not much for a house any more.
