I don't bother making them. I prefer more of a birthday resolution. In that, I will set goals for myself for the year and then the following birthday I will asses to see if I achieved those goals. I figure my birthday is my own personal new year beginning after all.

I resolved a long time ago to quit making New Year's resolutions. Might be the most successful thing I've ever done.
