What do you write? And countless great writers were rejected. Learn from the mountains planting their feet, from the trees who set roots so deep,
From oceans that forever wave and yearn, from stars that despite the darkness burn.

I believe JK Rowling has a few of those. Bet whoever rejected her cries daily now!
Don’t let it get you down. Perseverance is everything.

Some day I think, yeah did I write that? Some days I think, that’s rubbish... @Oneofthestormboys

I write and record songs - at the very least there’s a small creative mark left for the world when we’re gone. A bit of your heart and soul that’ll last forever 😊@MayaHope

I attended a writing siminar a few months ago. The speaker was a New York Times best seller and she had two boxes full of rejection letters so do not be discouraged because all authors experience rejection

I know they say it’s about the right match. Not every book is fit every agent! @Jlhzfromep

A friend of mine told me a story about listening to his dad on the phone trying to make a sale. Every time someone said no to him, he’d get excited.
“Dad?”, he asked, “isn’t it bad when someone says no?”
His dad explained:
“There are more customers our there that don’t need what I am selling than there are ones that do. Every time someone says no, it just means that I am one call closer to finding one that does.”
It’s a curious perspective, but I have found it helpful.
This publisher doesn’t get you. Put them in your rear view mirror and keep plugging. You’ll find one.

Just remember, the path to success is built on the road of failures. Meaning, don't give up :)
MayaHope · 41-45, F
Trying to believe that! @NativeOregonian

@MayaHope When Stephen King first submitted Carrie for publication, nearly every publisher in the US rejected him. Finally one decided to give him a chance, and look where he is now :)
