I Have Never Been In Love

The Romantic Sense...
I love people.
I love my parents, as far away and embarrassing as they are.
I love my sister, I wish we were closer, but we're so different.
I love my best friend, the person I can tell anything to without judgment and can always turn to for advice. She's a superwoman.
I like other girls/am attracted to them, but I definitely know the difference between attraction, lust, and love.
I liked my girlfriend, but never loved her. Two and a half years since that girlfriend is a long time without a relationship.
I like B, and don't know where that will go, but I hope to god I don't fall for her, as she has off sworn relationships. And she's my good friend now, I can't and won't betray the trust that comes with that. I'm supposed to keep creepy guys from hitting on her, not be one of those guys myself.
I love people.
But have never been in love with any one of them.
I feel like I have a long way to go before I fall in love, but I'm actually satisfied with the path I'm on right now. I can wait. I just hope that when it finds me, it won't be a one way street. I have a feeling that's a lonely and hopeless road.
And to anyone's who's found love...
You're quite lucky. To have someone who you'd risk everything for and know that they would do the same for you. God, you're lucky. Cherish what you have, don't take it for granted. I know I won't.
