I Need a Job

I started my job search this week. I found a nice position that I can do, but I'm stuck because I need references. I asked my mom if I can use an old high school teacher as a professional reference, and she said it could work since I was his TA for a while. Since I'm Facebook friends with him now, I sent him a Facebook message asking if I could add him as a reference. I even mentioned how I don't have many people I can add as references. He just messaged me back with his contact information so I could add him. I'm crying tears of joy right now! This whole process has been stressful and I've barely started. I'm really happy this is going well for me. Now I just need my mom to give me contact information for 2 of her friends so I can use them as my other references, and after she checks my resume one more time, I think I'll be good to send in my first application!

lots of luck. It's always an unpleasant process, but I remember how stressful the first couple were :/

What kind of job do you want

I'm trying to get a job as a lab assistant in a university. But I'm also starting to look into hospital jobs in my area. I know not everyone gets the first job they want, so I'll be sure to have backup options.

Okay one thing you want to think about is lab jobs at a university are normally reserved for students they don't normally hire anyone that's not affiliated with the college or university for a job at a hospital you can generally get one just as an orderly which is basically transporting people from one room to another Start Up Normally between 8 and $10 an hour

@db1984: I already checked, and the position I applied to at the university is open to more than just students. And I've looked, and some of the jobs at the hospital are more than just $10 an hour, and I do read the job descriptions. I am staying observant of these details. :)
