I Think People Will Disappoint Me Eventually

They always do. I think they're great one moment, and the next? ...They betray me in the worst way possible. I've stopped trying. My heart used to sing about the good in people no one else saw, it used to empathize with those hurting. Now its cold, broken singing disappointments about the lost hope, hurt and betrayals.
