I Wonder Where Socks Go

For the 5min July challenge

The lost:

There's another world.....
with an only one legged people;
where they have no wool or cotton,
but great teleportation.
I guess it gets chilly there,
or perhaps they're just lazy.....
but, they do visit us, creep into our homes and rummage around,
hopping into our drawers and laundry baskets,
even the washing machine
and just taking them;
craftily,
one or two at a time;
maliciously,
never taking the one left behind before,
never a pair.....
and always leaving the reminder,
the remainer reminder;
spooky!
You can't ever catch them,
those sock smugglers from outer space,
the intergalactic footwear felons;
monopedic marauders;
they're sneaky suckers.
