How the hell do you make friends?

Like seriously. It seems so easy when your a kid. But making friends as an adult seems so weird and hard. Not to mention with this whole COVID thing making it impossible to just go out and hang out.
But seriously, how does one make friends? I don’t know anyone out in the new state I’m at or city or anything I’ve made one “friend” so far. But I just met her like a few days ago. And to be honest. I’ve never been go at keeping girl friends. Cause I’ve never really trusted them.

Most people say they want friends but they don't want to do the hard work to make and keep them. Most people are just too lazy and busy.

@londonbr1dge its a problem with girls yes.. girls and girls.. make guy friends.. just get the no sex thing out in the open from the begining.. sure they will still make bad sex jokes now and again but for the most part they will be easy to read and straight forward.. other girls are crazy.. stay away from them.

@Coppercoil I actually have a few close guy friends. But there all back at my hometown. I called my best guy friend (8+ years of friendship)

Just ughhh why is it so hard now to make friends in new places and an adult?!

@londonbr1dge cause people have the friendship circles already established. Aren't looking for new members after adulthood.

Put yourself out there and do things you enjoy. You'll find people who have similar interests.

@Darksideinthenight2 I got a got out here when I now live. But it’s a warehouse job so everything is so fast pace so there’s rarely anytime to actually talk. And not to mention most of them employees already have friends or close coworkers and idk how to be like “hi I’m (blank)” with out seeing like I’m just butting in.
I’ll hopefully be going to school next year. (Mechanics) but until then I’ll try to see about work.
