@Lilnonames When I was in boot camp working the officers dining room I heard this and got homesick
My Mom was hell on wheels nuts
But my Dad never met a stranger ,,he was always helping someone and taking in as he called people needing help"Strays"
My family and I still take in strays ,,even the furry ones

@Lilnonames my youngest daughter has over 30 rescued cats ,sometimes being a humanitarian can also become a problem
now she loves them all and they are going no where if the home they go to does not meet her standards of care
she spent $1,700,00 for 2 cats to have transfusions after being abandoned in a home and the flea's drained them of blood ,,
She has a huge enclosure for them ,large spaces each with its own house .all fixed and have their shots ,,males separated from female
They require pens kept up with fresh litter everyday or it stinks and she buys the most expensive kind
food ..some are on special diets ,,she just paid $ 300,00 for a kitten to have an iron shot ,,the vet insisted this one we could not do ourselves (my daughter is a nurse ) and he knows she is
The bonds of love cannot be strained ,,,but this is one I wish she would seek help with ,,not mentally but for a solution ,,as people keep abandoning pets (The say they love like family until they have to move and can't have pets )
She will keep rescuing them ,,and the number and space needed yo give them proper care will keep growing

sometimes I wish I had not taught them to be quite that caring ,,,she needs to find them homes some how
but I am so proud of them ,,my kids go the extra mile

@Lilnonames You are wise ,get attached its even harder to let them go ,
I am working on one of those programs that take animals across the country where its harder to get a pet ,and let them find her cats a home ,,but so far its only dogs I find people willing to do that for (I get dogs are easier to place and take care of ) but there has to be someone willing to help ,,she cant keep just letting this grow ..
she has some very beautiful loving animals ,,some not so people friendly and its not from lack of love ,,some like the grandkids and not adults ,some only love her ,some her man and only me ,,they all have personalities ,,
But God bless you for what you do
but this is where the rubber meets the road
when some people are forced to choose ,,is your PET more important then your family having a home ,,and they abandon the pet ,,often locked up in a house ,,I guess they think they are protecting it and someone will find it
many times ,,no one does ...they are flea food ,until they die
But weeks before "My pet is family ,when I go .it goes "
Until the lease says "Absolutely NO PETS"
then reality sets in ,,its a pet
