I Have Had To Have Stitches
Not counting surgeries, I've had stitches a few times.
Twice from hockey injuries - once when I split my lip after getting sucker punched, once under my eye after getting hit with a stick. I believe it was 15 or 18 for the split lip (inside and out) and 2 for the cut under the eye.
Also a few times on my hands - once I managed to cut myself (but not sever a finger!) with an electric hedge trimmer. That was 10 stitches.
A few times at my first job in high school, I sliced open a finger on a "portable" filing cabinet made from cardboard with metal reinforcements - and very sharp edges on that metal. That resulted in a total of, I think, 8 stitches from 3 different trips to the ER.
I may be forgetting a time or two...
