Mowing the lawn is wearing me out

Had to mow the yard today, first time this year. After mowing and trimming the yard which is about 100 feet X 180 feet I was exhausted. This never happened before so what is happening to me? Feel like I could take a nap until dinner time this evening.

is your walk behind mower at last self-propelled? pushing a mower on a yard that big will exhaust you, and give you heatstroke in the summer. if it is self-propelled then it might be time to look at the smallest riding mowers and use the self-propelled mower for the trimming after you mow with the riding mower. 😺

@trackboy No. I have a Husqvarna 22HP with a 42 inch deck. It also has a mulching attachment to use during the autumn for leaves. It takes about an hour to do all of my yard work once a week. Do you have to do any yard work where you live?

@Shannon27 @Shannon27 we have a leaf catcher that we put on the lawn and garden tractor in autumn to get the leaves, consists of an air pump that fits on the side of the tractor and a big pipe that goes to bags in the back then we go around the yard to pick up leaves with it and have to keep dumping the bags of leaves in the trailer and take the trailer down to the compost center to dump it each time the trailer gets full. for winter we put a blade on it to push the snow off the driveway. we also have a self-propelled walk behind the mower to do the trimming to reduce the hand-cutting of weeds. the mower deck has 3 rotors. It is 4 wheel drive as the yard has some steep parts of the yard and the regular two-wheel drive lawn and garden tractor would not get up those parts. 🥞
