I Cry During Sad Movies

There's a few movies that end up getting me misty eyed, but the one that hits closest to home for me is Big Fish. My dad always told stories about his experiences during WWII while I grew up. I completely understood why the son in Big Fish feels dejected that his dad's old stories were things he cherished more than him. But at the end when the father is in the hospital and he tells the son to finish his story, the tears start rolling. I've only been able to sit through it twice because I'm always scared at the emotional impact of the ending of that movie every time.

No, I've never seen either movie. Honestly, since becoming a father, I found myself more emotional with certain movies. I cried watching Force Awakens when Rey uses the Force to get the lightsaber from Kylo Ren when I showed that movie to my daughter. The look of sheer joy she got when the lightsaber flies into her hand was awesome, but very emotional for me to see "she gets it". Heck, watching the teaser trailer for Beauty and the Beast with her this morning got me misty eyed too and she commented on it. Yep, daddy cries too.
