Is pink a “girl color” everywhere in the world?

Or is that just a Western thing?

[quote] It’s only over the past 100 years that pink has crept into the West’s collective consciousness as the universally agreed-upon “girls’ color.” And in the half-century or so before World War I, if it held any gender associations for people at all, it was often seen as a tone more suitable for boys.
