I Have Days When I'm Sad
Today being one of those days.....
Hearing that Stan Lee passed away yesterday, at the age of 95, just feels like the world has been pulled from under me....
He helped to create the Marvel Universe and that has been pretty much my LIFE from around the age of 6. Some girls play with dolls, I read. I read voraciously....
Spider-Man, The Avengers, DareDevil, The X-Men...they all fired up my imagination....my love for science.....
Marvel had strong female characters.....ethnic characters....different social standings.....
They show that whatever your background you can have the confidence and courage to fight for what you believe in...
....and it all started with Stan....
God Bless You, Stan...thank you for all the excitement and adventure that you gave this little, impressionable girl...
