I Like Short Shorts

Today I am doing my morning 4:30 a.m. run with my new 2XU shorts (3" inseams). It was quite cold this morning (8C / 46F, in terms of where I am living) and it rained (but not heavily, just a few mm). I would like to experience the chilling resulted from low temperature, rain, and wind. Unfortunately the wind was not that strong today (just about 13 kph / 8 mph).

To prepare to the cold environment, I wore nothing and was only covered by a summer blanket when I slept yesterday night (I have no heater at home). Besides, I had a quick cold water shower to allow myself to get used to the temperature. It was chilling and I was shaking, of course.

I wore the new shorts, a racerback tank, socks and trainers. Originally I decided to do a 16K run, which would be quite torturous for me. However, a few km down, I did not feel quite like running (depressed?) that long and I made an earlier turn and did a 10K instead.

I did not see many people around, and those I have seen were paying no special attention to me, although they were all in long-sleeved sweaters and sports trousers, and many were wearing coats. However, maybe my thighs were used to be bare (I wore shorts at home all years even when the outside temperature was about 4C - note: no heater and the temperature would not be much above that even when I close most windows) although my legs felt like ice. It was the upper body that felt the cold wind and rain, and my hands were very cold. I liked that experience a lot as I always wish to experience the feeling of being chilled.

Since I did not do well in today's run (very low speed, at 8 kph / 5 mph, much like walking) and I was not persistent enough (I did 10 K instead of 16 K decided beforehand), a punitive PE lesson will be in place for me tomorrow, when the temperature will be higher (15 C / 59 F) yet the rain will be heavier. If you wish, you can provide me a list of punitive PE tasks that I need to work on tomorrow.

At school we sometimes got punished by having to do PE sessions outdoors in cold weather, dressed like that, in just tiny shorts, singlet, ankle socks and plimsolls. Also we had a teacher with a cane to urge us on if we flagged. I hated this but it was worse if there were other boys and girls around d to see our discomfort.

I hope you'll tell us about your exercise session.
I think it is sweet to become uncomfortable by all three factors: cold weather, tiring exercises, and embarrassment.

I have no idea about tomorrow's session yet, as it will depend on weather. (More adverse but WITHOUT thunderstorms, the better - With thunder, it could only be something indoors).
So here is my exercise session today:

As expected, it rains moderately heavy today, which is good already yet I wish for a more serious downpour. My exercise session was taking place in a sandy soccer pitch, with a 600 m track (pavement) around. I was dressed in a racer-back tank, the 2XU shorts mentioned above, white socks and plimsolls.

It was drizzle when I arrived. The temperature is not low, about 17C / 63F. I started with 2 laps of run and the rain was getting heavy. I was then going into the soccer pitch, which was basically sand (with small patches of grass), identified a spot with a big puddle, and started the sweat work: 20 push-ups, 20 body-weight squats, 20 sit-ups, and 20 burpees, 3 rounds in total. I hate all these exercises and so I picked them as this session was meant to be punitive. I had to stop has to recover my breath when I was doing burpees, and I did the sit-ups very slowly and most of the time I was lying on the ground.

The ground was very muddy. When I was doing push-ups, my palms submerged a bit into the mud. When I was doing squats, my plimsolls turned brown as they were inside the mud. When I was doing sit-ups, the mud was stuck on my clothes and body. When I was doing burpees, the mud went to my tank and my face when my legs were jumping forward. I like the mud as that reminded me that I had to be tough, and be willing to get myself dirty.

After 3 rounds of exercises, there were another 8 laps (4.8 K). I was running faster after the third and I enjoyed the run. The rain became heavier and that was something that I like much. After running the required laps, I ran 3 more to enjoy running in the rain (the feeling was different - I did not need to do that 3 laps, I choose to do that). The heavy rain became drizzles again. And my session was complete.

The most interesting thing was taking shower on the soccer pitch after all these. The water was icy cold and really refreshing and I enjoyed showering in cold water much, which was exciting for me.

I was happy with today's session, but I think I would push myself harder if there is someone with strong arms holding a flexible and thick cane besides me, or waiting for me somewhere when s/he "evaluates" my performance. (There is no one doing that, what a pity.)

I am sure that there were very sore muscles tomorrow, and I also love the soreness after exercise (I perceive them as "good" sore). Would there be another session tomorrow, working with the sore muscles... I am pondering about that.

That must have been a good Feeling, the cold air on your bare thighs. It feels good and it is arousing to wear short Shorts when it`s cold and it looks good too.
I love it when Boys wear very short Shorts and Show their nude thighs.
I always love to make my legs as icy as I can. This is simply attractive to me.

I can't understand why shorts are no longer popular. I think most people look good in shorts.

I think that short shorts will get more popular for boys.
1970 till 1990 all boys did wear short shorts and short cutoff jeans and then was the ugly fashion for boys.
I think that this fashion did change, last Summer the boys in Europe did wear their shorts much shorter and i hope they will get shorter this summer.
