I Never Got the Chance to Say Goodbye

Goodbyes aren't always as peaceful as they seem. Maybe while I smile understandably and bow with dignity, maybe when I even offer my very own grace and wishes of fortune.....maybe I'm screaming inside begging you to say something anything to keep this goodbye from happening! Maybe as I walk off with poise....I'm stumbling and shuffling inside....praying that you catch me, you stop me, you save me! Maybe it looks as though I walk alone into the future....what if my sunset is the end?
