I have a love/hate relationship with the internet
It really did change the world.
The good news is, we now have access to almost all the world’s knowledge. Art, music, literature, science...not to mention the ability to meet and make friends with people all over the world. I have to admit I’ve benefited from it in some ways.
The bad news is, EVERYBODY has a voice. Including liars, frauds, and crazy people. What they call the “news” has become more opinion than fact. And it’s 24/7/365. I miss the news the way it was when I was a child in the 1970s - a daily paper, and then about 30 minutes a day of TV news presented by professionals.
We can’t put the genie back in the bottle. But for the sake of sanity, I can spend less time on social media.
