I Don't Want Children

Even as a child, I avoid playing "mommy" with dolls or anything like that. While I don't necessarily hate children, I am not a fan of them either. I love the freedom and flexibility of being child-free. There have been multiple times that my husband and I will be getting ready to go out some where and while talking to friends who have kids, I hear "aw, wish I could join you guys but I don't have someone for the kids" and I am thankful I never have to worry with things like that.

While I respect others decisions to have children if they want, I also wish that people could respect my decision to NOT to have them instead of trying to talk me into how "wonderful" it is. just because they love it does not mean everyone else would too.

People should respect your decision. We arent all the same... we like different things and if someone doesnt want kids then they would make very reluctant parents who may resent the child's imposition into their life. Miserable parents equals miserable kids.. just no point..

On the other hand.. and i seriously not trying to persuade you just offer my experience.. i never wanted kids, I am not the ooh isnt he cute sort who coos at babys .. i never played mommy... and yet i ended up with 3 kids! I still think that if i had my time again i wouldnt choose to have kids but i love them to bits
