I Got The Slipper At School

I notice must describe their punishment as getting the slipper. I do wonder if this was really a slipper or a gym shoe. At school I got, and then as a deputy, used a real house slipper. The top was cut off to leave a very large leather sole that was fairly flexible. I can assure you that this whacked across a boys bottom hurt a lot more than a gym shoe, and still more if the offender was required to bend over and take it on the bare bottom. A slippering with a gym shoe seemed more of a tingle compared to the painful sting of a leather slipper on your bottom

When I was in the children's home..teaching was done alot in house and the house master would use a house slipper for any infractions

@Jimmysboy The slipper was used very common. By the slipper i mean a leather sole house shoe not a gym shoe. If boys were fortunate, very fortunate, they were slippered over trousers and pants. Far more common for trousers to come down and it done on pants. Unlike what most think, the most commom way was o do t on the bare bottom. As a rule two or three hard cracks with it on the bare bottom was the norm that stung for ages, but tended not to leave lasting marks like a cane.

@chikki yes mostly was done on pants but a few times was done on bare ...hand on bare was common too there and was long and hard
