I Got The Slipper At School

I notice must describe their punishment as getting the slipper. I do wonder if this was really a slipper or a gym shoe. At school I got, and then as a deputy, used a real house slipper. The top was cut off to leave a very large leather sole that was fairly flexible. I can assure you that this whacked across a boys bottom hurt a lot more than a gym shoe, and still more if the offender was required to bend over and take it on the bare bottom. A slippering with a gym shoe seemed more of a tingle compared to the painful sting of a leather slipper on your bottom

Yes, a cut down leather sole was preferred by some, but it was always off a gym shoe.

@Frank52 the leather sole use to sting like nothing else wen whacked on your bare bottom. It did not hurt for long like the cane but for those first couple of minutes I think it stung a lot more than the cane, certainly in the first 30 seconds of whacking your bottom.

@Frank52 the advantage of a house slipper was while the sole was very flexible it tended to be thicker than a gym shoe, so on impact it stung a lot more. I had the slipper on trousers, just my pants, but mostly on my bare bottom. I can tell you it stung on trousers but not that much, but one on the bare bottom hurt far more than three on your trousers and one bare one was eqwual to about two on your pants or pe shorts with nothing on under them

@Frank52 the gym shoes tended to be made of rubber....the house slippers were made of leather and a leather sole whacked across the bare bottom twoor three times stung far more. It also went with a very loud smack on a boys bare bottom and sent out a much clearer message to those that heard the slippering than when a rubber sole one was used.
