Do you know about the Karen people?
I am not talking about what most people on SW seem to mean by that word.
The Karen (pronounced with the stress on the second syllable) are an ethnic minority within Myanmar, with their own language. Karen refugees have settled in the United States. My own state of Minnesota is thought to host the largest population of Karen in this country.
