I Got Hit By a Car
When I was 9 years old I was a victim of a hit and run. My dad was taking me and my friend to a park near my house and me being the hyperactive idiot that I still kinda am, I ran ahead by about 10 foot. I saw him coming but I was so far into the path way I didn’t think of it. Like it was like a 4 foot wide path and I was nearing the far side of it.
Any what the guy jumped the curb trying to park but was far to fast for it and hit me head on throwing me to the ground and cracking my skull. He must of seen my dad running to me and he drove off leaving me unconscious and head bleeding on the floor. We were lucky cause a lady who lived near it caught the whole thing on her houses CCTV.
From what dad told me after the police was phoned he was caught about 3 miles away and found he was about 3 times over the legal limit and didn’t have a licence or any kind of insurance and was not even his car. It was stolen from the house party he was at so he could get home.
I suffered minor brain damage which plays around with my ability to focus and a weird issue causes my sight in my left eye to go suddenly blurry for a few moments then it clears up. And I have nerve damage which leaves parts of my body feeling numb which is really annoying.
