Today is Memorial day for those who have fallen, but yea, thanks to those who have served.

I don't see how it's disrespectful. It's my opinion. It sucks n it's super sad. I'm sorry for your loss by the way.

I never served. The Army turned me down due to my eye situation. But my father, a couple of my uncles and one grandfather served.

GGGGF regiment in Civil War. GGF WW2. GF Korea. Father Veitnam. Husband (now deceased) Iraq. Even if you don't agree with war. Show respect for the people who served so you could have the right to disagree.

One of my Army friends on Facebook was posting not to thank her today because today wasn't about her, so that was where my thought was. Sorry.

No.. I wanted to be in the army or navy when I was younger but my dad wouldn't even let me attend public school.. So I couldn't go anywhere :(

Honestly, Memorial Day pisses me off. I don't agree with war. All those lives didn't need to be thrown away.

Jessa29, I am sorry. We all need to appreciate and remember those sacrifices more than we do, and that includes remembering those such as you, who suffered a terrible personal loss.

I would have better served my country if I had joined the protesters and burned my draft card on the white house steps!
