I Live In An Area That I Want to Move From

I have the opportunity to go on an adventure and move out of state, from Maine to Virginia. Anyone on here from Virginia? Or has anyone ever lived in Virginia and would like to tell me what it’s like? I’m hoping I’ll be happier there. My father and his fiancé of the past 13 years are moving out of state in a couple weeks. I’ll likely be leaving when he returns here in the spring to get the rest of their belongs from a storage unit.

Maine is certainly a pretty state, hence “Vacationland” but it’s difficult to make it financially. Especially alone. Winters are long and often brutal. I was born here and I’ve lived here my whole life, I just want something new.
