I'm Going To Be Me Unapologetically
There is always someone somewhere that is not going to like you. It is hard to not take it personally when you try so hard. I decided I can only control my thoughts, feelings and behavior, not anyone elses.
Some people are taken aback at my frankness. I believe if you ask my opinion, I should give it but I try to do it with kindness.
Yet, there still are the backstabbers, the liars, the bullies and the cheats. The people who are going to turn any situation around to serve their advantage.
Then there are the cowards. The ones that don't have the courage to say "I don't agree with you" or "Lets talk about someone else" OR " Lets agree to disagree".
You have the backstabbers who only tell what YOU say and of course it is taken out of context. Your words are used against you when you thought you were having a confidential conversation.
There are the toxic drama queens who are attention w**.ores...everything is about them and if it isn't, they make it so...God help them.
Recently I have had my feelings hurt. Some unkind things were said that were not true for all of the above reasons.
I licked my wounds, then did some serious thinking. I looked for the kernel of truth. I believe there is a lesson to be learned in every situation.
You are always going to find someone, somewhere that is going to rain on your parade just to do it...remove them from your life...because life is too short to deal with problem people. Lesson learned. There is this saying "s**ew me once, shame on you....s. rew me twice, shame on me"
I am becoming less tolerant of bad behavior...so if I do something to offend you, please tell me so I can apologize properly. I promise to do the same to you.
