I believe J.D. from Scrubs said it best when talking (well, shouting) to his friends about how much they complain about their relationships, but really don't realize how lucky they are:
"Honestly, the only thing that gives me comfort, you guys, is while I'm sitting at home staring at the ceiling just wishing that I had someone to talk to, is knowing that none of you idiots realize how lucky you are."
That really bugs me too, when people don't know and aren't thankful for what they have. I know that feeling very well, laying on my bed, staring at the ceiling, just wishing I had someone next to me to hold and talk to, about things I would never tell anyone else... I miss that so much...
