That saving is also for my earphone. I cant live without these two....

That is why it's good to keep your old one if it still works, as a spare.
How did you post this if it broke?

@SW-User You can install a VoIP softphone app on it and make voice calls from it with a VoIP/SIP service. Much cheaper than regular voice cell service, too, if you shop around.

@SW-User You're welcome!
You can also make video calls with some providers. And there's always google hangouts/apple facetime, depending on the brand of laptop you have.
You might want a headset if you will be using your laptop as a phone full-time.
Since it's a laptop, you won't have a cellular modem built-in like a phone has, so you will need WiFi to receive or place calls. Most all wireless providers will sell you a mobile WiFi hotspot device which will let you use a wireless data plan with your laptop. Data-only plans can be less expensive that combo voice/data plans. Just make sure that the wireless carrier coesn't block or otherwise restrict VoIP from their data plans. Some of them do. The mobile hotspots typically cost a lot less than an iPhone, usually less than $100 - $200.
And make sure that you don;t let your laptop automatically download software updates while you're using wireless data, unless you have an unlimited plan, etc. overages can really cost.
