I Have Lost Weight

*No pics because my body is still shameful, and y'all wouldn't notice unless I have a before and after shot.*

I've been doing the one meal a day for a couple of weeks. It was really hard because I LOVE food. I've also been running and lifting but with the sole focus for being faster and stronger.

As a result, I have accomplished all of those things, with the added plus of seeing my fat turning to flab.

I don't mess with the scale much, because I have gained muscle, and the numbers won't show much. I measure by clothes and what I physically see.

The added bonuses to doing this, and the effects it has on my ADD are:

Mental clarity- you don't have to think about food as much, and for those of you like me, you are more focused and sharp.

Mood stability- people that suffer with having really bad lows or depression will appreciate the "runner's high".

Mobility improves- my mom has really bad swelling around her joints. If she were to do this with me, she would have increased circulation, which would help with her pains and swelling.

Assertive dominance- okay, my brother is 20 and he still loves to push me around. He likes to randomly slap my face. Of course, I punch him back, and the power you gain from lifting gives it an extra "oomph". ;) Immature, I know.

Feeling of accomplishment- it's amazing to see yourself being able to do more. Run faster, be stronger, and do the things you never thought wet possible!

No constriction- your clothes can fit you comfortably now!

Better sleep- Whether you're insomnia kills you, madly in love, or just have a sh*tty cardiac rhythm, exercise helps you. It drains your energy enough that at the end of the day you will be tired!

Those are what I've been seeing, and I can name more. But, perhaps sometime in December, you can see for yourself. :)

First off congratulations. Second, why shameful? (Rhetorical question) don't be pushed into others ideas of perfect image. Do what you feel is best for you only.

I agree to your accessment of all the benefits of running working out.

And your brother deservesed to be punched if he's behaving badly...

You go girl... rock on...
Accept only those limits you want...

@Runningwolves Shameful, as in I'm not "fit". I got a good 20-30 pounds on my belly! Along with the good ol' electric white stretch marks. It's not flattering, but it's vanishing and I will show y'all a month from now! :)
