Disliking someone is one thing but constantly pushing their buttons because of of that hate is annoying. It’s clear that people who do this want attention from the person they hate.

Or, if you're like my ex, they hate themselves, and project it onto you, but at the same time, hate being "ignored"... so they find different ways to contact you... so every day it's a challenge... the words are the same though.
