I Hate When This Happens

So just got an app from iTunes to help me learn to play guitar and one the first parts of the description was “have access to a library of chords.” Now the app was 100% free but of course I go into the app and click on the tab for chords and I can’t access it without paying a subscription!!!!!!!! I really hate when this happens cuz it like here get this app for free but as soon as you want to use like ANY USEFUL functions on it requires a subscription... like WTF???
