Girls if a guy you were talking to brought you a gift card how would you act?

so long story sorry i brought a gift card for a girl that we met at our job it was her birthday we never dated or hangout outside of work or anything like that we talked about personal stuff

when i give her the gift card she was like i can't take your money she would not take it

so i just tosh it in a garbage can outside when i was walking to catch a bus to go home

Wow, that's harsh. I'd probably just awkwardly accept it, because I'm not used to getting things from coworkers. But it's nice to feel appreciated! I certainly can't imagine rejecting it, especially if you were friendly with each other.

Now, a complete stranger, or someone with a negative relationship would be different. A friendly coworker, though? No, I'd take it and thank them.
