I Work Full Time

One of the bad things about working: having to conceal your complete boredom and lack of interest in things you are supposed to care about.

First world problem, I know.

That’s one of the things that puts me off going back to work, after taking early retirement. It would have to be something that brings me joy. I can’t think of anything that would as the culture has changed so much. Hang in there. 🤗

@Carissimi I wish I could retire, and never have to deal with the nonsense parts of working again. But I would *have* to find something fairly mentally demanding to do once I retired. And get out of the house most days. Being at home with nothing to do 24/7 is not good for me. I’ve found that out already.

That’s the downside, especially in the long winter months. Even taking up hobbies is not enough mental stimulation for me, and I miss having company, at times. @SmartKat
