I Work Full Time
Actually, yesterday was my last day, so the title of this group is not technically true anymore. But this story is about the same workplace, so it goes here.
I just got off the phone with a former coworker. She had big news: our evil direct supervisor has given notice!
He has not been immune to abuse from the even more evil CEO of this company. On Monday, he was involved in a car accident (could have been killed, but luckily was not.) The CEO’s words to him? Not a word of concern; no, instead it was something more to the effect of “get back to work.”
Then yesterday he had to do offboarding with me. I was polite, but I know I was sort of quiet and terse.
Then today (my coworker told me) he got yelled at by the boss of the place the company is contracted to.
He had a shitty week; he knows nobody on the team likes him; and his direct boss is the sociopathic CEO. I guess he had enough.
