Idk, it was awkward

I saw my dad today at the store as I was walking inside I was with my mom it was so weird, and awkward he waved hi I couldn't say hi back I found out that he was throwing death threats to my mom I just couldn't say hi back. I know the death threat part is true as he would give me hints of hurting her last year, I don't understand why he is acting that way.
