I Believe Character Is Important
The two main characteristics I look for in any person are [i][b]kindness[/b][/i] and [i][b]integrity[/b][/i].
Are they compassionate to the plight and suffering of others? Even if they can't relate to a person or issue, do they wish no ill will to others? Do not mock or humiliate others deliberately?
Do they have integrity?
Are they honest in their dealings with others? Will they stab me in the back? Are they vindictive and revengeful (very dangerous characteristics)? Will they keep a confidence, and if I gave them $1000 to keep safe for me, for one-year, will they give it back on my return?
A person like this is worth their weight in gold, if you have one as a friend.
