I Hate Misunderstandings
I met this elderly man named Rex, he was about 75 years old and we had a few beer together and talked. Then a few weeks later my husband told me that Rex died from cancer, that it hit him hard and it hit him fast! I had just met the guy he was so nice! I felt for him........
Then one day I went to the grocery store and standing behind me was a familiar face...Then the cashier asked him by name she called him Rex! She asked if he wanted his brand of cigarettes! My eyes widened like as if I had just seen a ghost....I'm thinking to myself isn't he supposed to be dead?! It really was an earie feeling I didn't say a word to him not hi Rex nothing I just stood there and starred at him wide eyed and mystified! Then I went home and told my husband what just happened at the store, I told him I thought you told me that he died from cancer!? My husband corrected me saying Rex's brother died from cancer not Rex! I felt pretty stupid and relieved at the same time!
