I Believe In Signs

Signs are powerful gifts from the universe. They may come to you as symbols from nature, or they may come directly to your door on a Tuesday.

signs are created inside your head, reading meaning into every twitch of the universe will drive you mad
technically a sign, is a symbol meant to stand for another thing, the "signifer" the word "water" cannot satisfy your thirst.
when we put meaning on the meaningless, we open our minds to the most destructive of mental conditions, superstition.
Dont read this,, as a denial of all things spiritual or magical, to know what is real, we must weed out the unreal,, and the created falsehood.

I speak of two very specific instances. That hold great meaning for the two they were intended for. Too obvious to be happenstance
@GreeningsSparrow: care to elaborate?
intended by Who?

whatever your belief maybe...I know that there are forces out there that our greater than ourselves. Be it God, fate, destiny or the powers of the universe. They help us, guide us. Tell us what we need to know. We only need listen.
If you are not going to agree, dont comment then.
@Chrintelle: what point discourse, if all are in agreement
@GreeningsSparrow: the challenge is to separate meaningful input from random noise. Like those Fundamentalist preachers,, that say mass shootings or natural disaster that fall on unbelievers is the work of a deity.
so many wicked deeds are done by those that feel messaged and guided by so called higher powers.
Better still to have an ethical sense,, and stick to things that keep to that ethic
@Chrintelle: pardon for offending you..

@SatyrService: these signs are with the best of intentions. And they only hold meaning to the two they were intended for. To specific to be coincidence
@GreeningsSparrow: but again,, whose intent? this does suggest an agent, an intelligence with some agenda

Those that do wicked things,, told by gods or voices often have honest intent to do good, yet do evil
take the signs,, and let yourself look for other things in the world that support those ideas, we often see signs,, that support what we want to believe, and ignore those that do not.

yes an intelligence with an agenda. Call it fate. Signs that are simply a reminder of where home is.
ah Fate the idea that we are just robots,, following a program, set by an outside forces.
I like Free WIll the idea we are in control of our lives
or,, to split the difference
Fate, is the menu, i am fated, to live in this body in this place in this time,
Free will, is what I choose to do inside those limitations
consider the language of many founders of the US, they used the term
"providence" that which is provided, without trying to pin down the nature of the provider.
thanks btw for the discourse, tho we may not see eye to eye, we can still be civil and kind,,perhaps we will both learn something.
if i seem adamant in this subject it is that my experiences and those of many others are rife with examples of those that made decisions based on signs,,that proved horrifically wrong.
IN the 1600's those fighting in the English Civil war believed due to "signs" that they were fighting the war of Armageddon, and the end of the world was imminent .

thanks again for your time
