I Am a Therian
(Sorry for the long message)
Hello everyone. Despite the number of people who 'joined' this group, not very many people are motivated to post a message. Or, they want to, but are too nervous to. So, I'm going to leave this message here. I'm not advertising for my pack (with over 20 people, I think I have plenty of members for now). All I want, is for Similar Worlds to become more active, in the Therian groups, to be specific. For this message, I'm going to talk about me and my pack. My pack was named the Bloodstone Pack by vote of members. There has been questioning about whether we should keep the name, which we decided to as a sort of remembrance of the pack's first days of existence. My Pack name is Nitroxy Wildspirit, I'm the Alpha of my pack and am also the creator of it. My pack has been around for 5 years now, which may seem long to some, or short to others. There were 6 members of my pack when it was first created, which already made it larger than some packs. As my pack grew (both in size and in organization) we came to the realization that I was the only one with a solid rank. I did some research on natural wolf packs and Therian packs and came to a decision (after taking a bunch of notes). I chose to slowly incorporate ranks into the pack only when it was called for, instead of having a load of member-less ranks that just sort of hung around. I chose my Beta, who is named Solarstar Runningbrook; my third in command (the rank came in tons of names, but we named the rank Rupix for personal reasons), who was named Amaris Gold; my Medicine Wolf, who is named Mystery Shadowmusic; and my Pack Enforcer (sort of like the Police officer of the pack, whereas the Rupix is like the General and the Beta is like the Alpha-in-training/assistant), who is named Nyght Codex. This action made the pack much more stable and gave rise to the possibility of recruiting new members, which I did so on Experience Project and other sites. The reason for my pack members' odd choice of names it due to all of our names carrying a meaning, mostly, our names reflect our hopes and dreams for the future. For instance, Solarstar Runningbrook. Her name represents her love of stars and nature, along with her insane speed (specifically when chasing down another member to hit them over the head with a book... or when running from the word 'spider'). Also, the names we choose represent our personalities and preferences. For instance, Mystery Shadowmusic. Her name represents her quick comrehension of music (in band) and her hard to understand personality. (Sometimes, members will take on a name as a joke and then choose to keep it later on, like one of our newer members Jexter, who only chose to keep his name this year after giving up on finding one that suited him better. <(Rambling, sorry.) My Bloodstone Pack continued to grow with time, and at one point, there were almost 30 members in the pack, though now we are down to a little over 20 loyal members. I was pleasantly surprised to find that everyone in the pack (new or old members) were saying that the pack felt like a family. And recently, when one of our long time members was in a horrid car accident, every one in the pack, whether they were long distance members or not, came together to help me get a collection of messages together to send to his cousin, who printed them out separately and gave to him in the hospital. His injuries were grave and there was a strong chance he would die, but I hoped that our messages would spur him on... or comfort him if things got worse. (He just started getting better this week). The occurrence of the situation seemed to bring my pack members closer together. They all realized just how much the pack means to them. It touched my heart to see all my hard work reward me in such a way. I felt wonderful, to see my pack so close to each other. Now, with the experience I have and am still receiving from running my pack, I welcome any questions about pack-life you might have. I will also do as much as I can to help any other packs who ask for it. After seeing my pack thrive, I long to see other packs thrive.
