I Love the Golden Girls

I remember in 8th grade I wrote a report on Sophia of the Golden Girls. It was an assignment that we had to write about a character and explain what makes them who they are. 3 other people did the other girls. I have always loved the show and how different each of the girls were. I'd like to think that I am a mixture of Dorothy, Rose and Sophia. Unfortunately there's nothing sexy about me so I really can't be Blanche. But then again I do like to have fun, not as much as "fun" as Blanche though. I do love animals and would do anything for anyone that I care about like Rose. I am the voice of reason and book smart like Dorothy. And I can be sarcastic but loveable like Sophia. I've always been able to get along better with older people so maybe that's what has fueled my love for the Girls. I have every season on DVD. I can't even give you a clear cut favorite, but I can remember, "Shrimp...." in Blanche's accent. That episode was one of my favorites. And when Dorothy was dating Mr. Gorman and was on the talk show Rose produced it was hilarious. But I also love the 2 part episode when Dorothy was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. When Blanche was sleep deprived after writing her novel, it was the best!!! I was a lonely child and didn't have that many friends, but these girls always made me smile and laugh. It's just so sad that only 1 of them is left for us to cherish. Betty White is a icon and a true Queen of sitcoms.
