How old were you the last time you went trick-or-treating?

The last time I went trick-or-treating, I was 14 years old. But the last time I really enjoyed trick-or-treating, I was 13. I do think that after a certain age, people are too old for trick-or-treating, but I'm not sure exactly where the cutoff age should be. Maybe when you've started high school, you're too old. Or maybe it depends on the person. What do you think?

At my most-recent time, if memory serves, I was 14 or so, because I was tasked with "escorting" my kid brother, who was 7 years younger than I.

I would contact her and thank her, if I were you. Never too late to let someone know they were (and are) appreciated.

Okay, I will. :)

Good!

14 and I felt funny that last time. Pretty sure I overheard a few adults saying my friend and I were "kinda old". We knew we wouldn't do it again., so we stayed out late.

That sounds like me my last time, though my friend and I didn't stay out late (probably because I did feel kind of funny about it).

When I read your post, it struck a chord. xD We wanted to go out with a bang. We have up around 10. That was pretty late for us back then!

Yeah, that was pretty late for me too. I think a lot of people started turning off their lights around that time, so we knew that they were done giving out candy. But yeah, I can understand wanting to go out with a bang. You want to enjoy those fun times while you can.

I think it was back when I was 13. I remember someone gave us this weird witch doll that would cackle, it was kinda creepy

I think I was 12, god what an idiot, I should have continued to this day, I wouldn't have to ever buy candy again. lol

Does going with my kids count? If so, then 42 (yesterday).
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
Sure, that counts. Were you dressed up? Then it REALLY counts. I hope you and your kids had a good time.

I was intending to put on my cat mask but forgot. However, I was the sound effects lady: my older son had me playing his theme music on my iPhone whenever we got to a house. :-)
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
Oh, that's cool! Then it definitely counts. You really participated and added something special.

The last time I went out trick or treating? I can't remember. Probably ten years old and I don't remember what I dressed up as.
iCuriousBabe
I think I never dressed up to collect candies, but I did put on a costume a few times for Halloween parties.
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
Halloween parties are fun too. I had one of those once, when I was 12.

16 but I was the one with tp eggs & soap
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
Oh, so you were one of those troublemakers. Someone t.p.'d our house once. I don't know who it was, but I think it was someone one of my sisters knew, and they were playing a prank on her. It wasn't on Halloween, though.
jj46530
Not a troublemaker never got in trouble. Maybe because I never got caught. Lol hey I didn't do you place I'm sure :) lol
TeresaRudolph71 · 51-55, F
Nope, I never t.p.'d anybody's house. I guess you could say that I was pretty much a goody-goody-two-shoes when I was a kid. Although I did get into some fights. Kids loved to provoke me until I couldn't hold back my anger any longer. And of course, every time I fought back I always got into trouble. And the other kid was always treated like an innocent victim. Oh yeah, those were the days.
