I Live In America And Hate America

Hate is a bit dramatic , i don’t hate the us and I'm almost certain that no matter where I live there will be something that i don’t agree with or like .

That’s life I suppose , but it doesn’t mean I’ll bite my tongue .

I live in America I'm not afraid to criticize things that happen here , but i under no circumstances hate it here ultimately it’s up to me whether or not my time in this particular country is good or bad .

Very mature attitude - btw - did you mean that you aren't afraid to criticise

I think if we genuinely want to change our societies we have to do so constructively. Part of that is recognising - as you do - that no human society will meet out standard of perfection

One of the things i despise is the love it or leave it attitude , that’s like saying leave your spouse because you’re not getting along . No you confront the issue and look for a way to resolve it. @SW-User

I'm the same way. Any person who truly cares about something is critical about it. I've enjoyed traveling and living abroad and hope to do more in the future yet, I'll always be an American.

That sounds great and something I look forward to .@zeeva70

*knocks on wood*

we'll see.

but, so far it's been the lesser of many evils of those who came here that i've worked with, befriended, married and more.

everyone! knock on wood. i got tons of friends going through hell now.

i got a wife with cancer, i'm scared (not like before) why do some treat voting like it's buying a used car?
Everybody knows America is not Mexico or Canada so stop complaining. You know what he means. @sighmeupforthat
It is possible to be critical of America without hating it. Conservatives certainly aren't shy about their criticism of this country, but no one accuses them of "hating America." What we want is honesty over where this country has fallen short of its ideals, both in the past and today, and not mindless nationalism.
