Bowie was a Genius... so were many others

Genatics'

Brings to mind the life story of the famous singer & songwriter 'David Bowie'

Having been born into a family dominated by 'Schizophrenia'

His mother , brother & 3 Aunts spending a great number years in and out of psychiatric hospital's

He confessed to fearing the same diagnosis himself.

However when symptoms began ..he choose instead to pour all of is thoughts and feelings - into Musical Artistry.

Around the same time inventing a separate alterego Major Tom'

In who he would apportion accountability for his struggles - if you like - with psychosis and drug abuse.

Within his lyrics he at many times reflected that 'Major Tom'
Was struggling.. yet remained sane enough I suppose - by standing on the outside of his pseudonym.

Reflecting & ,writing fantastic music while looking from the outside in.

As far as I know , he was never commited to the care of a Mental hospital.

He within the passage of time - conquered his demons.

Well enough I suppose to eventually find an inner peace.

Just goes to prove ..like most things excercuted well.

"Method in Maddness" "Mad Genius "

"Madness illness is the norm for many"

@RodneyTrotter gosh you were lucky. Looking back now Its kind of weird to realise that the musicians of 'our time' if you like, we took for granted.

Although at that time we thought yh they are great ..nice gig .

Little did know just how Legendary they would later become and lol that keeping the gig ,stubs, original memorabilia. Would have been so appreciated.

For instance my ex-husband
(who I rarely see) & I were chatting the other day.

When we got talking about the various Artist's we saw at live gigs when we were teens.

& lol he reminded me how I walked out on Sting, who was then part of a band called 'The Police'

complaining because I thought he was too loud when he sang 'Roxanne'

Looking back now I cant believe!!! I did that haha
Yeah. I want my gifts but sometimes the price is so very high.
