My Big 'Bug Bear'...

So...streetwalker since '83 yadda, yadda, yadda...

My annoyance is the young girls, high on drugs, that sell themselves just for a tenner or so...

Frustrating? You Bet! Anger? Yep!

Y'see, half of them look like they've never eaten...never had a bath...hair scraped back into a scrunchy.....just a bit of lippy, if that.....and just wearing jeans and a hoody.

Where's the pride in that?

Fact is, that I make sure that my makeup is meticulous, that I've used a nice perfume, my hair's done...clothes? My little leather mini's cost around £150 a time, bespoke made and I always wear a nice pair of heels and fishnets or patterned tights/stockings...no ladders in them, and scuffed shoes like some of those girls!

Girls should be presentable, I think. we're providing a service after all, and that service is to make the client excited by someone sexy in front of them.....none of these ten-pound-whores look sexy to me!

And don't get me started on prices!

I'm not bitching because they're taking my 'work' away from me, truly they aren't - some people want 'own brand', some want better quality - but they're just giving the general public a view on prostitution that just isn't wholly correct.

Some of us actually like being prostitutes and do it of our own volition..

Rant over...

😘

I don't think young girls high on drugs hooking for money are there because they take pride in what they do, I think they are there because they have problems and need help.
SammyJo · 51-55, F
@PrincessOfQuilts Indeed they do....but that all reflects on us all.....
PrincessOfQuilts · 36-40, F
@SammyJo So it's all about you then ? the problem is your self-image and not drugged-out girls wasting their lives on street corners.

Geeze you're really seeing the big picture
SammyJo · 51-55, F
@PrincessOfQuilts I am seeing the big picture! In my time I have also been assigned as a drug and drink counsellor for various prostitution groups, helping them get their lives in order and over their issues....
PrincessOfQuilts · 36-40, F
@SammyJo So you've gone from helping them to judging them.
SammyJo · 51-55, F
@PrincessOfQuilts No....you can understand something whilst not liking it...
PrincessOfQuilts · 36-40, F
@SammyJo Yes but I take issue with your opinion because you don't like it because of how it reflects on you.

You don't care that those girls are in pain or that street walking shouldn't exist in a decent society. Now before you jump down my throat I'm not against sex workers. But sex workers should be practicing their trade in a legal and safe manner and street walking is not safe, it is not healthy for those girls to be out there when they need help.

Street walking is certainty not something that should be talked about as a "profession".
SammyJo · 51-55, F
@PrincessOfQuilts Well, it should and it is....

Ok...new analogy; you hear about slave gangs making people work on building sites and so forth....I, as an everyday labourer would be annoyed with these gangs undercutting my own collective, on estimates etc, and doing a shoddy job.......yes?

That doesn't mean that you aren't concerned about those people....but when they do rubbish jobs on properties people carry that 'baggage' over 'dodgy' workmen, which in turn reflects on the accredited ones...

Does that make sense?

What I represent, I hope, is a quality 'product' for want of a better term...

😔

@SammyJo Your new analogy has the problem of your original rant. You focus on yourself first, the exploited people a distant second.
Nighttalker · 56-60, M
@PrincessOfQuilts Oh good, I’m guessing you’re helping these exploited people yourself?
