What is the importance of family?
I am 35 years old now and I do not understand the importance of family. I have not seen or been with a family in more than 20 years. Why is family a important thing to have?

Ideally, those are the people who love you unconditionally, are by your side during times of hardship and celebration. They're the people you feel motivated by to do your best for so that they're proud of you. The ones you can depend on and make you feel at home when the world seems a bit too cold.
That would be like explaining a house to someone who never lived in one
