I Know That Disagreement Is Not Hatred

No one is ever going to 100% agree with the way someone else thinks or views the world. What I can't believe is how some people seem to think you disagree with me then you oppose and hate me. I see some political and social groups act bat shit crazy because someone dared to question or mildly disagree with them. Now it seems there is extreme censorship to not even allow divergent views to exist, ridicule and insulting ( rascist, homophobe, sexist, etc.) name calls, threats to retaliate and incite violence, proclaiming victim hood. It's all pathetic. Are you so threatened that someone verbalized different opinions and observations that you will be proven wrong? It's amazing when it's not even a personal attack on anything about you , it could someone holds a different political stance or differing social or spiritual/ religios beliefs people go on extreme defense and get so heated to the point where they yell, and put down the other person. If the other person is not extreme in their thinking and does not mistreat or try to convert someone else to their thinking why does if bother some people so much? A good measure of an. Individual is how they treat others who might be somewhat different from themselves. I know there are certain concepts and ideas some people may have not understood or exposed to before. I think it's just more out of ignorance than authentic hatred. I'm not saying everyone had to be best friends but within reason, we need to coexist and get along civilly

Well from what I can think of...
-Fear of being proved wrong which can hurt their ego or feeling lesser than another person.
-Strong bias might blind people about their choices
-Some people might lose it if the religion they have build their lives upon is something they come to be convinced isn't what they thought to be...This often goes hand-and-hand with strong bias.
-Fear of feeling vulnerable. Insecure. Showing weakness.

These are only a few things that I've come to see in people from the things you have said- And I have to agree- I am pretty much in the same category of someone that gets pissed when another individual disagrees with me on something that I feel should be fine. I'm not gonna hide it xD. But I learned to cope with it. :)
