I Can Be Moral Without Religious Pedagogy

I subscribe to Kant's moral imperative to treat others as ends in themselves and not just as means to an end. So I use each person's name and say hi to engage with them and recognise them as individuals and sign off with warmth to reinforce the emotional engagement. It is to remind me to treat each person as a person with feelings and individual identity. Also to model this behaviour to others because I sometimes see people being nasty to each other and think this is a mistake.

hi Literaturegirl
I am happier this way being of limited emotional intelligence. I try to keep things simple as possible. I like Kant's simple idea.

@sogdianrock Kant's philosophy was far from simple. And be never found you warm

well that idea is.
"be never found you warm?"

@sogdianrock Thus post is an idealisation if ever I saw one. Had you applied what you post here, things would have been considerably better, "treating each person as a person with feelings and individual identity". Not my experience

I did not say I was very good at it. Also I think although a simple idea it is in practice fraught with problems. I am of course distraught I have been the cause of distress for you.

@sogdianrock Sadly, I don't believe you. Years of good thoughts about you all gone. You're nowhere near who you claimed to be, as in this post. Another internet fake, sadly

hi Literaturegirl
Maybe I deceive myself. If so I am deceived as much as you.
